Mystical Sufi Trail
We had a wonderful time in Pakistan attending the wedding events and the cultural visits organised by Saniya’s Cultural Express. The visits were extremely well organised and exhaustive, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the culture. It was wonderful to see how Pakistan is working so hard to develop and the results are evident. We want to remark that we felt safe at all times, even when in public places. Throughout our whole trip, all the Pakistani residents we have interacted with were extremely respectful, generous and warm. It has truly been an unforgettable experience

(The trip to Lahore with SCE was an exciting and unforgettable experience and it will surely inspire me to return to Pakistan to explore the country more deeply. The visit to the walled city with all its monuments from the Mughal era was very interesting. I enjoyed the impressive Badshahi mosque and the Wazir Khan Mosque with its Persian tiles. I carry with me the memory of the smells of spices in the market, of the multicolored clothes, of the curiosity of the inhabitants towards tourists, of the warmth of the population and much more '! A big thank you to Saniya for making this holiday special!)

Saniya’s Cultural Express offered a truly eye-opening and beautiful introduction to Pakistan. I felt welcomed by everyone I met during my stay and getting to experience the traditions and culture so closely made the trip an unforgettable experience which I’m sure will always stay with me.
Visiting the Wagha border was not only an exciting and atmospheric event, with the noise of the crowds and the proud display from the guards but also an interesting insight into the relationship between Pakistan and India. The journey out of the city offered us a look at the natural landscape and different neighbourhoods, making for an absorbing drive.
Of all the sights we saw whilst in Pakistan, the old city and the historic sites of Lahore were my favourite. We had the most incredible time traversing Lahori streets, gaining a real sense of the history and heritage of the city. The mosques and palaces were stunning, and our tour guide gave us a real sense of the astonishing craftsmanship, engineering, and effort that had gone into creating these beautiful structures. Getting to ride a tuk-tuk through the old streets added some exhilaration to our tour, and we were looked after very well by our escorts and guide, so we could focus on soaking up as much of the city’s culture as possible.

SCE made sure we enjoyed a truly good experience in Pakistan. Everything was organised to the detail, and this ensured that we visited some of Pakistan's most beautiful places, like Lahore Old City and the Wagah-Attari border ceremony, completely stress-free. Definitely recommend.

We travelled to Pakistan from Italy as a family and I can’t stress how lucky we were to visit it with SEC. We have unforgettable memories of Pakistan, especially of old Lahore, where we visited the amazing Fort and the Badshahi Mosque. This wouldn’t have been possible without the special care SCE took of us.

To visit the city of Lahore after 34 years was a wonderful life affirming experience. The hospitality and kindness of the of the people of Lahore was on every street corner. I must again thank Kamal and Saniya for their creating such a memorable experience. I reconnected to Pakistan which is a unique country, full of the most amazing sites and experiences.
Stayed at the Nishat hotel modern hotel it provided very good rooms, at a reasonable price. I even tried their swimming pool which enabled me to relax after the tours. Staying in the one hotel was an enormous benefit for everyone to get to the wonderful ceremonies and trips.
The Tours organised by SCE revealed the delights of Lahore which is known as the cultural capital or the heart of Pakistan. The last time I was in Lahore I explored it as a back packer this time it was with expert, caring guides who answered all my questions and showed me the delights of Lahore.
The first SCE trip was to Aitchison College; a school with a history stretching generations and creating men who have been the leaders in their fields. Even in the rain the grounds and the buildings were impressive. My Guide was an amazingly smart young man dressed in a blue blazer with a yellow trim, showed us the college in detail and it’s the magnificent grounds. I impressed with the room we were shown, where old photos pictures and painting were crammed on every wall. Revealed the history and significance of the college in the history of Pakistan. How Major GD Langlands had in shaping the school with his motto - BE GOOD AND DO GOOD.
The next SCE trip we spend around the Walled City of Lahore also known as the Old City on rickshaws. We went round the walls of the old city it was exhilarating and by far the best way of get around. The Badshahi Mosque built in red sandstone with four towering minarets was vast and impressive, but the Masjid Wazir Khan was more decorated with inlayed marble. The inside was magnificent colour dripped from the ceilings and walls. It was a treat to see two such impressive Mosques. The guide expending in detail the history of both Mosques. The capital of Punjab the city was a seat of the Mughal Empire and the Sikh Empire.
Shahi Haman Persian-style bath was hidden in a market of spices. The way the walls could hold whispers was fascinating. We laughed as each one of us tried it out. The water was heated, and the baths were used in 1635 BCE ago. The baths were excavated in such a way you could see how it worked.
The SCE trip to the Wagah Border: The overwhelming sound the crowd, the flags waving and the enthusiasm shouting of the crowd. A sceptical! The Pakistan guards towered above me. I took my seat in the crowd I watched them march and carry out the ceremony which has been going on every day since 1959. The marching to the boarder by the soldiers the gates are thrown open and flags are lowered. The parade and roars revealed how strongly the Pakistani people feel about their country.
SCE was outstanding in every way. We saw amazing historical sites with expert guides, the delights of Lahore were revealed to us in a relaxed, friendly but very professional manner. They navigated the delights that Lahore had to offer with a special charm with only Pakistan offers. Lahore is memorable what makes her distinctive is the friendly people who live there.
